Wanlockhead Lead Mining Museum
The following images were all taken at the Wanlockhead (Scottish) museum of lead mining. This picture is taken in the miners cottage which has been mocked up to represent the harsh realities of life for miners in or around 1740. The photograph probably doesn't portray fully the realities of life which if you had been able to step outside into the biting wind you would appreciate more fully.
