Scottish Recipes - Savoury Potato Cakes This is a recipe for a potato patty which is excellent for breakfast or a light snack, especially when topped with a poached egg. Savoury Potato Cakes Ingredients:
Method:
Mash the potato well in a bowl and then add the mixture. Season to taste (you should need VERY little, if indeed any, salt) Mix well and shape into flat cakes (patties) approx 1/4 inch thick.
