Peas and Pork Soup
This is classic Swedish cuisine, hearty comfort food that is rich in nutrients and flavour.

Recipe Ingredients:
- 2 cups peas
- Water
- 2 finely chopped onions
- 1 piece (1/2 kg) pork
- 1/4 tbsp Majoran powder
- 1/2 tbsp thyme
- Salt to taste
Method:
Boil dried peas in water on high heat for 10 min. Turn off the heat and simmer peas for 1-2 hours or until soft.
When peas are cooked, add the chopped onions, pepper, salt pork, thyme, marjoram and boil it on medium heat until the peas are completely cooked.
Add one whole onion. Once the peas are cooked remove the onion.
Remove pork form the cooking bowl and cut the meat into pieces, discarding the fat.
Serve the soup in a bowl with the pork slices on side. Garnish the soup with chopped dill or parsley if desired.
