Onion Pie
This is a Finnish onion pie with eggs, ham and sour cream. Perfect winter appetizer!

Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 pk dry yeast
- 1 cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 kg onions
- 1/4 lb diced smoked ham
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 eggs
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp caraway seed
Method:
In a bowl add yeast to hot water, mix well and leave aside for 5-10 min.
Add salt, butter, flour and mix them well.
In a pan fry the sliced onions till they become soft. In a bowl mix onions with eggs, sour cream, salt and pepper. Add caraway seeds.
Prepare pastries with the filling and place pastries on the buttered dish.
Bake for 1 hour in oven with a heat of 200 c.
When the top turns golden brown, take pies out and serve with sour cream.
