Kishk Soup
Kishk soup is a sort of thick, hearty soup whose basic ingredients are lamb and vegetables. Kishk, a powdery form of cracked wheat, makes a delicious soup for cold winter days!

Recipe Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg lamb, cubed
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp onion, chopped
- 2 tsp garlic cloves, minced
- 3 cups water
- Salt to taste
- 1 dash of black pepper
Method:
Melt the butter in a pan, add onions and fry them till turn golden brown.
Add meat to the pan. Cook for 10 min until the meat is almost cooked. Add chopped garlic and cook for another 5-8 min.
Decrease the heat, add Kishk, stir well and cook for 5 min.
Add water, salt and pepper and stir thoroughly. Boil until the soup is thickened.
To serve garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
