Kidney Bean Rice
The basic beans and rice recipe is the distant ancestor of popular bean stews found all over the world, from Africa to Europe. This is a hot hearty nutritious dish which makes it an excellent comfort food.

Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 cup rice
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tbsp garlic salt -
- Parsley flakes
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 4 tbsp tomato paste
- sazon goya for seasoning
- 8 whole spanish olives
Method:
In a pan melt the butter. Add the chopped onions and fry until the onions turn golden brown.
Add the salt, pepper, seasoning and tomato sauce. Fry for 5 min.
Add the kidney beans and fry for 5 more min. Add dry washed rice to the pan and fry for 2 min.
Add 2 cups of water and let the rice to boil. Cook until the rice is cooked properly.
Serve hot.
