Recipe Ingredients:
- 2 cups milk
- 5 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 3/4 cups of milk
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tbs cinnamon
Method:
In a deep sauce pan combine 2 cups of milk and sugar. Boil until sugar melts and dissolves in the milk.
Gradually add cornstarch to the remaining milk. Boil until the milk thickens. Be careful not to burn the milk. Now you have a thick custard.
In a bowl combine melted butter and walnuts and toast them until the walnuts become golden brown.
Add the custard to the toasted walnuts and bake for 30 min in a oven at 300 F until the custard becomes almost stiff.
Chill and serve cut in chunks.
