Swedish Hamburgers
Swedish burgers are basically large meatballs that make an excellent main course with mashed potatoes or a salad. You can substitute beef for chicken or soy to make these burgers more diet-friendly.

Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lb beef
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 chopped onions
- 1 sliced green pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cucumbers, mashed potatoes, parsley to garnish
Method:
Melt the butter in a pan. Add chopped onions and fry them on a medium heat until till they turn golden. Add sliced pepper, stir well and fry for another 5 min.
Add 1 cup of water to the vegetable mixture in the pan. Let it boil, diminish the heat, add salt and pepper. Cook for 5 min. Set aside.
Shape the ground beef into flat round balls, similar to burgers. Heat a flat pan, add some oil and fry meatballs till the meat turns brown.
Pour the onion and pepper sauce on top of each meat portion. Serve hot with mashed potatoes, or tomatoes and cucumbers.
As with all recipes which involve cooking and baking a sensible approach must be taken especially when dealing with warm or hot (temperature) ingredients. If you are unable to take due care, please do not attempt to make any of these recipes. All recipes are tried at your own risk.
