It is taken from a slightly unusual angle i.e. below. Culzean is a romantic 18th century Castle built by Robert Adam for David Kennedy, 10th Earl of Cassillis. Its prominent (and commanding) position looks out over the Firth of Clyde with ever-changing views of Arran and the Ailsa Craig. Culzean is also set in a Country Park of over 500 acres. This offers something for everyone with its wooded walks, the Swan Pond, an Adventure Playground, Walled Gardens, shoreline, Visitor Centre, shops and restaurants and of course its place in history with its military connections to Eisenhower and the Second World War.
