Balmoral Castle

Brodick Castle
Brodick Castle is based on the Island of Arran, just off the west coast of Scotland. Unfortunately the site has no pictures on it which is a pity as this is a very beautiful area.
Cawdor Castle
This site is designed by the same person as the Brodick link above. This site does have pictures on it and a wealth of information. It is fast to download and is well laid out, with a wide variety of links to commercial sites.
Castles of Scotland
An excellent site, with a huge variety of pictures (some of which are for sale)
Dean Castle
Dean Castle is a little gem which is often overlooked. Perhaps this is because it is situated in one of the smaller local authority areas and is in a relatively small provincial town.
Dumbarton Castle
This site is graphic rich but is still relatively quick to download. In addition it has good links which gives information on a wide variety of castles and monuments.
Edinburgh Castle
No site on Castles in Scotland would be complete without reference to Edinburgh castle. This site has plenty of textual information, is well laid out and has a couple of pictures on it.
Eilean Donan Castle
This is probably the most photographed castle in Scotland. The picture on the site will show you why. An informative site with an appropriate level of information.
Historic Scotland
This is the website of the government body whose main role is to look after Scotland's built heritage. It has links to many sites and general information.
