The present site has a National Trust visitor centre situated at it and this contains many artefacts of the times. A full story of the battle can be found here. The battle of Bannockburn to all intents and purposes secured the scottish throne for Robert Bruce, King of Scots. This is a picture of some bows and arrows similar to those used at the time of the Battle of Bannockburn and currently on display at the visitor centre. |
